In my work as a drummer I work with a wide range of artist in different genres.
No matter the genre I always try to serve the music to help create a vibe and a universe around the artist I’m playing with. In my work as a producer I work a lot with artists. In these situations, my starting point is always the person behind the artist. Music is about sharing stories and feelings, and if we want to do that, I need to know where those stories and feelings come from. To me, working as a mix and mastering engineer is very much a craft. It is about understanding the initial idea behind a song and then making all the individual elements come together as one.
Obviously you need the technical knowledge and capability, but you also need to understand what it’s like to be a creator, and what it’s like to be a listener. You can have a listen under Mix | Mastering in my Portfolio.

I’m no artist myself so when I write songs, I write for someone else. In this process I’m very fascinated by how a personal and unique feeling or event can transform into something universal and relatable for so many others. This is usually my goal with a song - to write a unique story about something we can all relate to.
